As a key strategic partner on the Elevar Therapeutics’ Executive Team, the VP, Human Resources will be responsible for leading and developing practices and programs that will help drive our company’s rapid growth, including building out late-stage development and on-market capabilities. As a key member of Elevar’s Executive Team, the VP, Human Resources will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and members of the executive and leadership teams on employee engagement, strategic talent initiatives and overall company goals as it relates to people and the organization’s culture. This role will report directly to the CEO. Elevar Therapeutics’ corporate headquarters is in Salt Lake City, Utah, with an additional office in South San Francisco, California. This position is ideally based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Develop and execute a human resources strategy for the business that is in alignment with overall business objectives.
Build the human resources function, department and capabilities.
Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to develop our corporate culture and core values and ensure they are embedded in all organizational activities.
Define the strategic talent needs of the organization and develop workforce plans with the Executive and Leadership teams.
Build a scalable HR structure to enable talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, compensation and benefits.
Implement creative talent acquisition, development and performance programs to ensure a high-performing workforce.
Ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings to attract and retain top talent.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all HR related practices and processes.
3. Candidate Requirements
15+ years of progressive related HR experience.
10+ years leading human resources teams in high growth life science organizations and played a key role in the scaling to launch process.
A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources or a related field; advanced degree such as MBA is highly preferred, along with SHRM-SCP or GPHR/SPHR certifications.
Must have experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry. Other life science organizations may be considered. Ideal candidate has a combination of small / start-up company experience as well as working at established biopharmaceutical companies.
Demonstrated experience in presenting at the executive and Board levels to obtain support and investment in talent and people initiatives.
Proven experience in leading change management initiatives through periods of rapid expansion.
Outstanding leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and motivate teams and build a great culture throughout the organization.
Superior communications skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Operate with the utmost ethics and discretion, earning trust with peers, team, and entire staff.
