Vice-President, Global Marketing

Elevar Therapeutics is hiring a VP, Global Marketing, to lead the full spectrum of marketing and brand strategy for our rapidly growing biopharmaceutical organization.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the VP, Global Marketing will serve as a key member of the commercial leadership team and corporate senior leadership team. S/he will lead the team focused on building the marketing organization, brand strategy and resources for our portfolio of oncology launches.

The VP, Global Marketing will bring an ability to operate at a strategic and senior level, applying his/her experience and knowledge of marketing and commercialization to ensure a successful launch and sustainable growth for our portfolio of launches over the coming years.

Responsibilities

  • Key member of Commercial Leadership Team helping prepare for global commercial launches, deliver commercial success, and develop commercial talent
  • Build and lead the Marketing organization and strategy for two assets with multiple oncology launches
  • Work with cross-functional team (Medical, Regulatory, Compliance, Market Access, Sales, Training, Operations) to ensure strong communication and collaboration that leads to exceptional performance
  • Drive business insights (through market research and competitive intelligence) that lead to acute understanding of existing and future market dynamics that may influence success of the brands
  • Ensure development of comprehensive Life Cycle Management (LCM) plans for each product as well as a collective LCM plan across the portfolio that drives lifecycle opportunities and new data
  • Review and validate sales and resource forecasts, initiate relevant market research to shape strategic brand plans and KPI tracking
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations to develop deep customer insights to shape our product and disease strategies
  • Partner with Training to ensure impactful and relevant pre and post launch training
  • Partner with Market Access on the development of a value proposition, patient support services and key market access resources
  • Champion and support Sales Leadership to ensure strong pull-through and cohesion internally and externally
  • Maintain industry awareness regarding market trends, competition, product acceptance and new product launches and indications

Background

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or advanced science/medical degree is preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with 10+ years marketing experience, including some combination of marketing & sales and P&L management, plus market research and/or new product planning
  • Both US and EU Marketing experience is required
  • Proven leadership in a combination of commercial roles (sales, market access, operations), as well as strategic marketing across multiple functions and an exceptional track record in Oncology product launches
  • Ideal candidate has a combination of small / start-up company experience as well as working at established biopharmaceutical companies
  • Bring scientific credibility and influence, learning agility, a creative and innovative mindset and approach, a sense of urgency, and a high level of engagement
  • Demonstrated experience in the conception, development and execution of marketing strategies for highly specialized products in the US and EU including a track record of successful product launches
  • Experience building value propositions for diverse key stakeholders, including: Patients, Physicians, Nurses, Payers and Integrated Delivery Networks
  • A strong understanding of the global healthcare system, including the legal and regulatory environment with a commitment to compliance
  • Must be able to analyze financial data as well as industry data related to sales, market share, price/volume, market research, etc. Must be able to maximize all market research data and communicate its results and application.
