Director, Global Alliance Management

Elevar Therapeutics is hiring a Director, Global Alliance Management, to lead the full spectrum of alliance management for our rapidly growing organization.

As a key strategic partner on the Elevar Therapeutics’ Business Development and Commercial Leadership Team, the Director, Alliance Management, will be responsible for optimizing the value of Elevar Therapeutics’ alliances at all stages of the product life cycle, from pre-clinical development to commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all terms of partnership agreements are adhered to and executed upon, including participation in governance committees and working groups
  • Serve as the central point of contact for internal cross-functional coordination and external interface with the partner company and ensures the Elevar team is prepared with their deliverables for partner interactions
  • Work with partner companies to set the direction and scope for implementation of the partnership agreement including key activities, timelines and key metrics
  • Regularly communicate with partner alliance management counterpart and other key partner stakeholders as needed, including ad hoc communications/events that require cross-functional communication
  • Regularly collect/develop and control quality of forecasts as appropriate to support financial planning activities
  • Perform regular alliance audits and business reviews
  • Partner with Business Development, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Clinical Development, Commercial and other functions to ensure that key contract milestones, financial transactions and progress reports are handled appropriately
  • Partner with Business Development to review of new partner contract negotiations as appropriate and provide input into partnership execution terms of the contract, such as governance structures and processes
  • Build expertise about partner company, including company organization/leadership, strategies, financials and priorities; become Elevar Therapeutics point of contact on partner company

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive related Alliance Management, Business Development or Program Management experience
  • 10+ years in high growth biopharmaceutical organizations
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required and an MBA, Master’s degree or PhD in a scientific discipline is preferred
  • Strong experience in drug development, including IND experience and/or NDA/BLA experience
  • Ideal candidate has a combination of small / start-up company experience as well as working at established biopharmaceutical companies
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting at the executive and Board levels as well as externally to gain support for Alliance Management initiatives
  • Proven experience in leading change management initiatives through periods of rapid expansion
  • Outstanding, confident and inspiring leader, including significant leadership without authority experiences
  • Ability to partner and effectively work with colleagues across numerous functions and areas of expertise, with the ability to motivate peers and leadership to build a great culture throughout the organization
  • Superior communications skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at various stages through excellent project management skills
  • Operate with the utmost ethics and discretion, earning trust with peers, internally and externally, team, and entire organization
  • A strong understanding of the global healthcare system, including the legal and regulatory environment with a commitment to compliance, scientific quality and integrity
